An extension to the ABB standard drives family is a series of drives specifically designed for variable torque applications such as pumps and fans. ACH550 drives for HVAC applications
The introduction of a dedicated ABB drive for HVAC marks a significant milestone in the development of AC drives. Macros for the most common applications are built into the drive as standard. The drive is programmed with several HVAC applications, including supply and return fans, cooling tower fans, booster pumps and condensers.
